Talent Management
The
systematic attraction , deployment and development of individuals who
are of particular value to the organization ,either because they
fulfill critical roles or they possess higher future potential( CIPD ,
2015). Talent management is the usage of strategic human resourc
e planning
to improve business value and to reach the organizational goals
effectively. This is concerned as a holistic strategy to hire employees,
train them and retain the best employees in organizations.
Why Talent Management is important ?
Attract top Talent
Discovers the opportunity to attract the most talented
and skilled employees available from the industry. It also creates an
employer brand that could attract skilled and talented employees that
can contribute to extreme potential heights for the improvement of the
business performance.
Employee Motivation
Talent management creates more reasons for the
employees to be attracted towards the organization . According to the
survey carried out by Chandler and Macleod , results state that 91% of
employees need to feel engaged and motivated rather than the
remuneration facilitated.
Increase employee performance
This will make it convenient for the organizations to
identify the best fit for the job and hence will ensure to have less
performance management issues and grievances .This will also ensure that
the top talented employees will be retained within the organization for
a longer time period.
Improve business performance
When the employees are fully
engaged to the right job ,this improves the productivity of the work
involved .The management can archive the defined goals and objectives
since employees are skilled and motivated towards work.As a result ,the
expected performances can be reached with minimum obstructions.
Higher client satisfaction
Organizational wide integration and a consistent approach is facilitated
with the fusion of talent management.Since there is a general
communication approach within the business, its more integrated not
isolated with each other .Hence the customer satisfaction rates are
usually higher and the issues are dealt in a rapid manner.
